why choose

Custom Engagement Rings Designed Around You

Most jewelers start by showing you what they have. We start by asking what you want.

Our custom engagement ring process puts you at the center. You work directly with our lead designer — in person at our showroom or virtually via Zoom, FaceTime, or text — to develop a ring that reflects your partner’s style, your relationship, and your budget. Every custom ring goes through a full 3D CAD rendering so you can see the finished design from every angle, make adjustments, and feel confident before a single tool touches metal.

Here’s how it works:

Consultation

Tell us your vision. Bring photos, Pinterest boards, heirloom stones, or just a description of what you're imagining. Don't have a vision yet? That's fine — many of our clients start here with just a budget and an occasion, and we shape the concept together. There's no commitment and no pressure at this stage.

Design

Our designer translates your ideas into reality. This step removes the guesswork entirely and is consistently the part of the process our clients love most.

Diamond & Gemstone Selection

Choose your center stone and any accent stones from our curated in-house collection or our extensive certified network. We carry both natural and lab-grown diamonds in every shape and size, plus sapphires, rubies, emeralds, moissanite, and more. We walk you through the 4Cs (cut, color, clarity, carat) in plain language and help you find the stone that maximizes beauty within your budget.

Crafting & Reveal

Our master jewelers handcraft your ring with meticulous attention to detail. Once complete, we perform a final quality inspection before your reveal. Every custom engagement ring is delivered with a certified appraisal and our lifetime manufacturer's warranty.

Timeline:

Most custom engagement rings take four to six weeks from consultation to delivery. Rush timelines may be available — if you have a proposal date in mind, let us know early and we’ll plan accordingly.

Engagement Ring Styles

Whether your partner’s style is classic, modern, vintage, or completely their own, we design and carry rings across every aesthetic. Here’s a look at the styles our couples love most.

Solitaire Engagement Rings

The most timeless choice — a single diamond on a clean, elegant band. Our solitaires are available in round brilliant, oval, cushion, emerald, pear, marquise, and princess cuts, with setting options including four-prong, six-prong, cathedral, trellis, and bezel. A well-chosen solitaire lets the diamond do the talking and works beautifully at every budget.

Halo Engagement Rings

A ring of small accent diamonds surrounding the center stone, adding visual size, sparkle, and a frame-like effect. We design classic round halos, cushion halos, and vintage-style halos with milgrain detail. For couples who love the idea of extra brilliance without significantly increasing the center stone size, a halo is an excellent option.

Hidden Halo Engagement Rings

The accent diamonds sit beneath the center stone — visible from the side and profile but not from above. This creates a clean, solitaire-like look from the top with an unexpected sparkle from every other angle. Hidden halos are one of our most requested styles for couples who want subtle detail without a traditional halo appearance.

Three-Stone Engagement Rings

Representing past, present, and future, three-stone rings feature a center diamond flanked by two accent stones — typically smaller diamonds, sapphires, or other colored gems. Classic, symbolic, and visually striking with a range of stone shape combinations.

Vintage & Art Deco Engagement Rings

Hand-engraved milgrain, filigree scrollwork, geometric Art Deco patterns, and antique-inspired profiles. For couples drawn to old-world craftsmanship, historical character, and rings that look like they carry a story even on day one.

Toi et Moi (Two-Stone) Rings

Two stones set side by side or intertwined, representing two people coming together. A bold, fashion-forward style that’s seen a major surge in popularity — and one we love designing because the stone shape combinations (oval + pear, round + emerald, etc.) make every toi et moi ring genuinely unique.

East-West Settings

The center stone is oriented horizontally rather than vertically — a subtle but distinctive twist on any cut. East-west settings work especially well with oval, emerald, marquise, and pear-shaped diamonds and give the ring a modern, architectural feel.

Bezel-Set Engagement Rings

A metal rim fully or partially encircles the center stone, offering a sleek, modern look with exceptional security. Bezels are ideal for active lifestyles and for clients who want a clean, low-profile design that protects the diamond from everyday wear.

Natural vs. Lab-Grown Diamonds

We carry both — and we don’t push either direction. We lay them side by side and give you the information to make the choice that’s right for you.

Lab-Grown Diamonds

Lab-grown diamonds are created in controlled environments using advanced technology. They are chemically, physically, and visually identical to natural diamonds — same hardness, same brilliance, same fire. The difference is origin and price: lab-grown diamonds typically cost 30–50% less than comparable natural stones, allowing you to maximize size, quality, or setting complexity within the same budget.

Both options are certified by GIA, IGI, and other respected laboratories. Both are available in every shape, size, and quality tier we carry. The right choice depends entirely on your priorities — and we’re here to help you think through it without any bias.

We offer one of the largest certified selections of both natural and lab-grown diamonds in the East Valley — including round brilliant, oval, cushion, emerald, pear, marquise, radiant, asscher, and princess cuts.

Natural Diamonds

Natural diamonds are formed deep within the earth over billions of years. They carry geological rarity and traditional value. For couples who value provenance, natural diamonds remain the classic choice.

Understanding the 4Cs: What Actually Matters

We believe an educated buyer makes the best decisions — so we spend as much time teaching as we do selling. Here’s a quick overview of the four factors that determine a diamond’s quality and value:

Cut

The most important factor for a diamond's visual beauty. Cut determines how light enters, reflects, and exits the stone. A well-cut diamond sparkles brilliantly; a poorly cut one looks dull regardless of clarity or color. We prioritize cut quality above all else and recommend it as the place to invest first.

Color

Diamonds are graded from D (colorless) to Z (light yellow/brown). The differences between adjacent grades (D vs. E, G vs. H) are often invisible to the naked eye, especially once set. We help you find the sweet spot where the diamond faces white and beautiful without overpaying for grades you can't see.

Clarity

Internal characteristics (inclusions) and surface blemishes are graded from Flawless to Included. Many inclusions are invisible without magnification. We recommend "eye-clean" diamonds — stones where inclusions don't affect appearance — as the best value.

Carat

The weight (and perceived size) of the diamond. Prices increase exponentially at certain thresholds (1.0ct, 1.5ct, 2.0ct), so a diamond just under a threshold often offers significantly better value with virtually no visible size difference.

During your consultation, we walk you through all four factors with real diamonds in hand — not just charts — so you can see the differences for yourself and choose with confidence.

Engagement Ring Metals

The metal you choose affects the look, feel, durability, and maintenance of your ring. Here’s what we work with:

Platinum

The most durable precious metal. Naturally white, hypoallergenic, and develops a distinguished patina over time. Heavier than gold, with a luxurious feel. Ideal for securing high-value diamonds. Requires occasional polishing to maintain its original sheen, or can be left to develop its natural finish.
Platinum

White Gold

A popular alternative to platinum at a lower price point. White gold is plated with rhodium for a bright, silvery finish. The rhodium layer does wear off over time and needs periodic replating — a quick, affordable service we offer in-house.
White Gold

Yellow Gold

Classic warmth and timeless appeal. Available in 14k and 18k. Yellow gold complements warmer skin tones and pairs beautifully with both colorless and fancy-colored diamonds. No rhodium plating needed.
Yellow Gold

Rose Gold

A romantic, warm-toned metal with a distinctly modern feel. Rose gold has surged in popularity and looks especially striking with oval and cushion-cut diamonds. Available in 14k and 18k.
Rose Gold

Mixed Metals

Combining two metals in one ring — such as a rose gold band with a white gold or platinum head — creates a unique, custom look that sets your ring apart.

Bring Your Own Stone or Heirloom

Have a family diamond, a gemstone from a previous piece, or stones you’ve sourced yourself? We love designing engagement rings around what you bring. Incorporating heirloom stones is one of the most meaningful projects we do — it connects generations through a single piece of jewelry.
We evaluate your stone, discuss design options that showcase it best, and build a setting that’s worthy of its history. Whether it’s a grandmother’s round brilliant, a parent’s emerald-cut solitaire, or a collection of loose accent stones, we design around it.

What Our Clients Are Saying

“I knew nothing about diamonds when I walked in. They spent over an hour with me — showing me different cuts, explaining what matters and what doesn’t, and helping me find a stone that looked incredible without blowing my budget. The custom ring they designed is absolutely perfect. My fiancée says yes every time she looks at it.”

“We compared natural and lab-grown diamonds side by side and went with lab-grown. The savings let us design a more elaborate setting than we originally planned. The ring is stunning and we have zero regrets. The team was honest, patient, and never pushed us in either direction.”

“I brought in my mother’s diamond — a 1.5-carat round brilliant from the 1970s — and asked them to design a modern hidden halo setting.  The finished ring honors my mom while being completely my own. I wear it every day.”

“My now-husband designed my ring at Myranda Fine Jewelry without me knowing. He said they were incredibly patient, helped him figure out my style and ring size, and walked him through every decision. The ring is more beautiful than anything I’d have picked myself. We’re customers for life.”

Engagement Ring FAQ

How much should I spend on an engagement ring?

There’s no rule. Forget the “two months’ salary” guideline — it was invented by a diamond marketing campaign. Spend what feels comfortable for your financial situation. We design beautiful, well-crafted engagement rings at every budget and will never pressure you to spend more than you’re comfortable with.
It helps, but it’s not required. We can estimate based on a ring they already wear, or we can size the ring after the proposal — we include complimentary resizing on every engagement ring.
Many couples start with a diamond that fits their current budget and upgrade for a milestone anniversary. We make this easy and can apply trade-in value toward a new stone.
Every ring comes with a certified appraisal, our lifetime manufacturer’s warranty, and complimentary cleaning and inspection services for as long as you own it.
